ORDERING PROCESS AT SCHÖN FURNITURE

With plenty of options on leg-styles, finishes & upholstery, generally most of the products we are offering on our website end up getting ordered as per the Customer’s taste & design requirements. More information on the materials can be found on our Material page. We look forward to assist You and answer all Your queries to finalize all the specifications pertaining to your Order with us. Lead times typically run between 8-12 weeks from the date of the Order. Schon Furniture aims to optimize a minimum wait time for Your Order. Due to multiple partners involved in the shipping & logistics aspects of bringing in the products from Europe, Schon Furniture will not be held responsible for delays & deficiencies beyond their control & those that occur due to Acts of Nature & God!

CHANGES, EXCHANGES, RETURNS OR REFUNDS

  • 1. Any changes in the Customer Approved Order will be required to be informed info@schonfurniture.com within five days from the date of Order Confirmation.
  • 2. Customer reserves the right to cancel the order within 5 days from the date of Order Confirmation, and in that case the Customer would be entitled to full refund of deposit.

  • 4. If the product ordered is manufactured as ordered, no Exchange, Return or Refund on the Custom Ordered merchandise will be entertained under any circumstances.

IMPORTANT FURNITURE INFORMATION BEFORE ORDERING

  • 1. All KFF Seating Furniture will have a maximum static weight of 110Kg per seat at normal use. Some of the Series are also offered in PLUS variants.
  • 2. In some categories of leather, certain color deviations cannot be avoided due to the production reasons, therefore such minor natural variations of shade of color will not be classified as defect or deficiency in products.
  • 3. Specifically the RAWHIDE Leather is processed with all its natural characteristics and is therefore excluded from complaint.
  • 4. Similarly, the natural wood table tops may have slightly variable grain, color variation & knots, which will also not be classified as defects or deficiency in product.
  • 5. Sitting marks can occur in different intensity on different types of leather and do not represent a quality defect.
  • 6. All harsh chemical cleaners must be strictly avoided for cleaning purpose. First a dry duster (or dry Vaccum Clean) & then only a moistened clothing and neutral soap is recommended.

ONLINE ORDERS

  • 1. Shopping Cart : Please select the product you want to order by picking your desired material / finish and clicking on the "Add to Cart" button. This will put your configured products in the cart. You can change this selection at any time until you submit your order.
  • 2. Checkout : If you have already setup an account with us, you may log in using your email and password. Or you may order any product(s) as a Guest visitor.
  • 3. Billing & Shipping Address: Please verify the correctness of your billing address and shipping address.
  • 4. Shipping & Freight Cost : Most of our chairs come individually assembled in Cartons & do not require any assembly. The Benches & Tables however do come packaged in two or three packages and require very simple / straightforward assembly : we do provide the assembly instruction sheets. If the Customer however feels that they certainly need assembly, Schon Furniture can arrange a third party assembly service. We request our Customers to clearly indicate their requirement for assembly service after they place their on-line order.

SHIPPING POLICY

  • 1. Schon Furniture would deliver the merchandise only upon confirmation of the availability of Customer or their representative at the Delivery address. One Govt. issued Photo ID will be required for any representative of the Customer to receive the ordered Merchandise. Acknowledgement of Receipt of the merchandise on the Delivery Note by the Customer or their representative would be mandatory. Exceptions for any inability on behalf of the Customer for these three conditions must be communicated in advance via email, and would be a deemed disclaimer for safety of the merchandise at the destination address.
  • 2. If you have your own shipping arrangements to pick up your order from our Toronto address, we will keep your order status updated on the progress of your order. Once the order is ready, we will co-ordinate with you to schedule the pick up according to your convenience.
  • 3. We have third party arrangements in place to deliver to about 25 Delivery Destination Zones around: Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Quebec City, Hamilton, Kitchener & Halifax in Canada and New York, Los Angles, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Diego,San Jose, Dallas & Austin in the USA.
  • 4. If your shipping address is out of these 25 Delivery Destination Zones, please leave a note with us regarding shipping assembly or any other aspect of your overall purchase from us at info@schonfurniture.com or reach us at +1-647-533-0675. We will revert to you within 2-3 business days with an exact Shipping cost & plan for the items entered in your shopping cart to the entered shipping address. We advise our Customers to proceed to complete the ordering process when they have satisfactorily determined & agreed to the shipping details of their order.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Once the Customers have full clarity on the shipping options for their orders, they can opt for the following methods of payment.

  • 1. For all on-line Orders, if You have a Paypal account, you can easily complete your transaction either logging in through your PayPal Account or pay as a Guest using your Mastercard or Visa credit card.
  • 2. You may also avail a 3% discount on Your full order amount for payments made directly to our Business Account with TD Bank using wire transfer or on-line bank transfer. Upon Your finalizing & confirmation of the complete product & shipping details of your order, we will email you an invoice reflecting the three percent discount & the details of our Business Account to deposit the invoice amount. Please note that for this method of payment, the lead times begin only upon receipt of full invoice amount.
  • 3. Customers can also place their orders by visiting us at our Design Gallery @ #411-412, 48 Galaxy Blvd. Toronto M9W 6C8 : and in those cases also, a 3% discount will be applied for full payments made through Cash, Cheques, Certified Cheques & Money Orders - to be written in favor of “Schon Urban Furniture Inc.”

Schon Furniture’s privacy policy is occasionally revised / updated, and if we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information, we will post a notice on this page. By creating your My User Account with Schon Furniture, you agree to providing your following personal information to Schon Furniture that is essentially required for completion of your order:

We share your provided information with other third parties (freight forwarders & transporters, furniture assemblers only & if it is essential to do so to complete your order.
Schon Furniture is committed to responsibly safeguarding the personal information entrusted with it & takes all essential precautions including administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, Schon Furniture cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with breach of protection of the personal information and cannot be held liable for any unauthorized access or use of personal information by any other third party or hackers.
We will not disclose your personal information to any third parties without an official request, court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of personal information is necessary. Please note that if you access our websites from a shared computer or a public computer, certain information about you, such as your user account with us, may be visible / accessible to other individuals who use the computer after you.

WARRANTIES, DEFECTS & DISPUTES

  • 1. Upon delivery of goods, Customer shall inspect goods straightaway for possible defects, wrong deliveries, incorrect quantities or other complaints. Obvious damages in packaging material or transit have to be claimed immediately and confirmed in writing on the packing list by the Shipping Company. All defects and damages shall be notified to Schon Furniture at info@schonfurniture.com latest within 3 business days and should also accompany best possible pictures or videos of the damage.
  • 2. Any assertion of the warranty claim after 3 business days from shall be excluded. In the event of no communication from the recipient of the Products, the products will be deemed as free of any flaw or damage and therefore accepted by the Customer.
  • 3. The decision of the Manufacturers on any issue emanating from the production / quality of any merchandise will be final & binding on the Customer. The manufacturer KFF excludes the Customer’s right of warranty claim on all the minor or insignificant defects, differences in measurements, weight, shape, color or quality, and also modifications which serve further development of product.
  • 4. All your shipments are transported under insurance coverage for shipping. If Your Order is delivered with obvious transport damage, a prompt intimation helps us to lodge a timely claim with the insurer.
  • 5. The Customer may only exercise the right of retention on part of the purchase price in proportion to a well-founded defect. Schon is entitled to examine repair or replace the defective product or grant the Customer an appropriate price reduction, at Customer’s option.
  • 6. The Customer shall not be entitled to any further or consequential direct or indirect damage claims on account of the defect.
  • 7. Products may only be returned with Schon’s consent. Products are to be inspected on receipt, but if found defective, by no means to be used. Whenever a return of the defective products is based on the fact that the product is already being used or cannot be returned for any reason, the Customer is obliged to pay a loss compensation or to refund Schon for the depreciation of used products.
  • 8. In case of returns, products shall be packed-up in original packaging material or similar firm cardboard.
  • 9. With regards to the costs resulting directly from any repair or replacement or product delivery – as long as the claim is deemed as justified – we will pay the costs of the repair, replacement and the delivery only and none of any ancillary costs incurred, if any, by the Customer. For such justified returns, we will email a completed Product Return Authorization Form informing an approximate pick-up date & shipper details.
  • 10. Any other costs resulting for the buyer are to be covered by the buyer themselves. Required assembly and travel costs which are incurred as a result of unjustified claims of defects are to be paid by the customer.
  • 11. If any changes or repair work have been carried out inappropriately by the customer or a third party without Schon Furniture’s prior written consent, Schon Furniture will not be liable for the resulting consequences. The customer is required to provide Schon an the opportunity to assess the claim and in particular to make the damaged goods and its packaging available for inspection. If they refuse to do so, Schon Furniture will not be liable for the defects.
  • 12. Schon Furniture is not liable for damage to the goods caused by wear and tear, unsuitable, inappropriate use or application, incorrect assembly, excessive strain or inappropriate alterations, amendments and repair work carried out by the customer or a third party, incorrect or negligent use.
  • 13. On merchandise requiring assembly, Schon Furniture does not shoulder any responsibility for damages caused by the third party technicians hired by the Customer or by the Customers themselves.
  • 14. All and any Disputes & Complaints would be addressed within & limited to the Jurisdiction of Courts of City of Toronto.
